The new initiative by La Societe Guernesiaise saw its official launch at Les Vicheries on Saturday.
Herd secretary Julia Henney was delighted.
'Fields that aren't managed often get covered in brambles and bracken and other vegetation, which means wild flowers get smothered, they can't find the light and they die, they get shaded out,' she said.
'What cattle do is eat some of the grasses so they create a bare patch for wild flowers to grow.'
