It follows the latest round of assessments under Guernsey's food hygiene scheme.

Highfield House Care Home in St Peter Port is among the latest premises that has celebrated securing five stars.

Peter and Mandy Girard of Golden Guernsey Goats Cheese said they were happy to work with Environment Health to transform their rating from two stars and aimed to reach the top score of five stars out of five when they were reinspected.

The business in St Peter's was one of three to receive two stars under the scheme, which means that improvement is needed.

The couple said the area where the goats were milked had never been inspected until this year and some improvements were recommended.

Other latest premises to receive two stars – the Bridge Kitchen and Union Street Stores – were unavailable to comment.
