Missing Scratch the cat back home at last
CHRISTMAS 2013 was far from merry in the Johnson household when their cat mysteriously disappeared, but almost a year later, Scratch has been found alive and well.
The four-year-old tabby vanished close to Aladdin's Cave on 15th December 2013, but was recently discovered 2.4km away in Les Amballes road, near Salerie corner. Her owners are 'extremely happy' to have their pet home safe and sound.
'We will never know how she got there, but our theory is that as she went missing just before Christmas, she may have jumped in the back of a delivery van and was lost from there,' said Mr Johnson.
'We did flyer drops, press adverts, Facebook posts and contacted the radio trying to find her.
'Animal Aid were fantastic in regularly posting our advert on their Facebook page.
'We had several possible sightings and had taken a couple of cats to be scanned as you don't always recognise your cat if it has lost a lot of weight after going missing.'
