National Trust has two towers plans

THE National Trust of Guernsey plans to renovate two historic towers for people to stay in.

Its president, Martin Ozanne, pictured, confirmed the projects while speaking at the Chamber of Commerce Christmas lunch, which always takes on a more light-hearted tone than the rest of the year's talks.

The trust has a number of exciting projects coming up, he said, not least the renovation of two towers which, once completed, would be available for people to stay in.

'This will be our first campaign since the mid-1980s when we campaigned with La Societe Guernesiaise to save St James. This will benefit the community and benefit tourism.'
