It has been a record Christmas for Guernsey Post, with parcel deliveries up by 15%.

Mum-of-one Chantelle Clarke, 24, pictured, was collecting her present from her partner and his present from his parents in the UK.

'I've bought quite a lot off Amazon this year and it has all come through pretty quick,' she said.

'I don't know what my present is – I'll have to try not to look.'

Mum-of-three Jo Robert had been waiting for a present for her son but when she phoned the post office to see where it was, they told her it had missed dispatch for delivery.
