Published

Condor 102 is being given a new duty free shop, children's play area, restaurant and information desk, with work being carried out by interior specialist company, Trimline.

From the end of March, the ferry will be used for all crossings from the Channel Islands to the UK.

The trimaran, which can carry 1,125 passengers and 254 cars, was bought for £50m. last year after Condor was granted a long-term operating licence in Jersey and Guernsey.

Alicia Andrews, Condor's executive commercial director, said the company was very excited that the fit-out process was under way.

'It has been a long journey to get her here so we're delighted that her period of customisation has already begun and she is quickly taking shape.

'We've worked very hard to ensure Condor 102's design and fit-out will offer our passengers the greatest level of comfort and best on-board experience.

'Trimline has a big job ahead of them over the next few weeks, but with their expert team on hand, we're confident she will be looking fantastic inside and out ahead of her first sailing to the Channel Islands at the end of March.'
