Telcos are set to roll out 4G mobile internet

HIGH-speed mobile internet is soon to become a reality with operators set to roll out the 4G network from March.

Sure will be first to launch its new 4G network, scheduled for next month, which Apple iPhone users with the latest iOS 8 update can access as soon as it goes live.

Airtel-Vodafone looks to go live in April, with JT hoping to launch its state-of-the-art 4G network in early summer. But the three providers have warned that customers could experience some disruption during the final stages of the roll-out.

Sure engineers are currently upgrading base stations around the Bailiwick as part of the switching and testing stage to roll out 4G and upgrade the existing 2G and 3G networks.
