It has planned to secure three second- hand Dorniers for £1m. each by the end of this year and to acquire two new ones for around £6m. from 2017.

The second used Dornier will be operated in conjunction with three Trislanders.

It comes as the Alderney Pressure Group called for a halt to the 'chronically mismanaged procurement programme' to allow a full evaluation of appropriate aircraft types, beginning with the Trislander.
