Corporate class 'the epitome of Eisteddfod'

SINGING firefighters, police officers and teachers were the 'epitome of the whole atmosphere of the Eisteddfod' as the music section of the festival came to an end on Saturday.

Cheers and laughter filled the Beau Sejour theatre as the corporate entertainment class got under way and saw organisations, including the Guernsey Fire & Rescue Service, pictured, Guernsey Police and Grammar School teachers, take part.

But it was the Credit Suisse Choir that walked away as the winners with its performance of Stand By Me and Lean On Me.

Adjudicator Ian Hytch said he had been 'thoroughly entertained'.
