Parish anger over 'appalling' Cambridge Park vandalism

VANDALISM at the the Les Cotils side of Cambridge Park has been labelled as 'appalling' by a St Peter Port constable.

Police are investigating after a tree was uprooted, two bins were overturned, rubbish was strewn across the park and dog excrement was scattered along a pathway.

A wing mirror was also ripped off further down in the car park.

The incidents happened between 4.20pm on Saturday and 7.15pm on Sunday.

St Peter Port constable Dennis Le Moignan, pictured, was 'very angry' about what had happened.

'Luckily the toilets were locked so there was no damage in there, but whoever did this did try to enter them too,' he said.

'We found large, muddy footprints all up the main door where someone had tried to force it down.'
