Children to get Liberation mugs
PRIMARY school children in the Bailiwick will receive a commemorative enamel mug to mark the 70th anniversary of the Liberation.

It will have the 2015 Liberation celebrations logo printed on one side – complete with the message in English and Guernsey French, 'Remember and Celebrate with island pride' – and on the other an image of brothers Peter and Roger Bott as children on 9 May 1945, as pictured.
The venture is a joint one between the Culture and Leisure and Education departments.
The link between the wartime generation and the children of today is a central theme of the 2015 Liberation celebrations.
