It released details this morning of its amendment to the Education report on redeveloping the high school and primary school which will be debated next Wednesday.

If successful, Education would have to report back by March 2016 on how it would reduce the number of secondary schools, whether La Mare should be for 600 pupils or 960 as Treasury favours and where all the schools should be, including post-16 education.

One of the schools whose future is now question, Les Beaucamps, has arranged an emergency meeting for parents tonight.
