Flybe silent on future of its daily Southampton service

FLYBE has refused to rule out dropping its daily Guernsey to Southampton service as it unveiled its winter schedule.

According to its website, from 25 October it will no longer be operating the route, with 'no flights' displayed in the options page.

In response, its competitor, Blue Islands, yesterday said it wants to progress talks about a codeshare.

'Flybe is currently finalising its 2015-16 winter schedule for the seventh aircraft it has based at Southampton Airport,' a Flybe spokesman said.

But a Commerce and Employment spokeswoman said that if it were the case Flybe were planning to drop the route, it would expect to be told.
