Dementia care 'is a black and white issue'

ABOUT 150 people turned out yesterday to show their support for the Green Acres 2 Specialist Dementia Home campaign.

Organiser Sarah Griffith asked people to turn up dressed in black and white at Cambridge Park if they could not attend this week's open planning meeting to decide the fate of Green Acres hotel and whether it will become a specialist dementia care facility.

'I am taking a log of people who are turning up, asking them to sign it and then I will present this as a show of feeling on Tuesday. I would like to have at least 100 people here today,' she said.

She was not disappointed, as nearly twice as many turned out to have their photo taken by a drone to show their support.
