Head of operations superintendent Nigel Taylor led the high-profile project, which included vehicle examinations, carrying out speed checks and anti-social behaviour patrols.

'The activities we are doing are business as usual for us, but the difference today is that we are raising awareness within the community of what we are doing and that's because the emphasis is on educating the public, preventing future criminality and enhancing road safety.

'Those are the three elements of why we are doing it in this way so that we can keep the community safe,' he said.
