Policy Council reaches agreement with union representatives over pension reforms
POLICY Council negotiators have reached an agreed position with union representatives for a reform of the public sector pension scheme.

Speaking in this morning's States debate, the Policy Council's representative for employee matters, Deputy Allister Langlois, pictured, said the agreed proposals would now be recommended by individual unions to their members for a ballot in September.
He added that therefore the Policy Council would not, at this stage, be seeking action to ensure the States right to make the changes through the court system.
Deputy Langlois praised the way that union representatives had conducted themselves in negotiations.
