Speed hump near to former St Andrew's school to remain

TRAFFIC-calming measures around the former St Andrew's Primary School will remain the same for the time being, the parish douzaine has said.

The school closed at the end of last term and while turning it into a community centre has been raised as an option, the building's future remains undecided.

St Andrew's senior constable Martin Thwaite said the douzaine had discussed whether any changes should be made, including the potential removal of the speed hump by St Andrew's Church car park, at a meeting earlier this week.

The road, Route de St Andre, also has a 25mph speed limit and a filter junction with L'Ecluse.

Mr Thwaite said the douzaine wanted the filter to stay as it was a difficult junction for drivers coming from L'Ecluse.
