DEPUTY Mike Hadley has been accused of 'outrageous, bad, offensive, rude and wholly unacceptable behaviour' by a fellow Health and Social Services member as the row within the board escalated yesterday.

It follows Deputy Hadley, pictured, being cleared by the Code of Conduct Panel after a complaint was made by the whole board about his behaviour at a department meeting.

In an email seen by the Guernsey Press and sent to all States members, Deputy Sandra James described his comments to the department's chief officer as insulting and suggested she would have grounds for constructive dismissal if his behaviour was left unchallenged.

'I fail to understand the gross inadequacy of Guernsey processes if your behaviour did not warrant a severe penalty. You may feel smug at your current position but I for one will not be party to any more of your rude, abusive and crass behaviour.'
