Former States members say they will stand in by-election

A CONTEST will take place to decide who takes the vacant seat in St Peter Port North.

Former Treasury minister Charles Parkinson has confirmed that he will stand in the by-election on 2 December, as will former deputy Tony Webber.

Other candidates are also said to be considering standing.

The by-election will take place to elect the person who will complete the term of former deputy Martin Storey, who lost his battle with cancer on 22 July.
