Founder Sarah Griffith led the team to the country, the second visit since April's devastating earthquake.

She said the 15-day trip saw a lot of work get done.

'Of the 15 days, every day bar one was spent doing it,' she said.

'It is up in the mountains and there are 37 children there. The home has been going for 10 years and in its current location for five.

'It is a big, long building and we have pretty much given it a complete rebuild.

'We have put foundations in, which it has not had before. The roof had stayed up, but parts of the walls had come down.

'We have completely re-done the water system, taken the four water tanks they had and washed them out. They had a load of sludge in the bottom and they were drinking from these tanks.'
