A FORMAL code of conduct complaint has been lodged against Deputy Jan Kuttelwascher for 'cruel' comments he made about a colleague following last week's Sunday trading debate.

St Peter Port North resident Rosie Henderson has made the complaint following a radio interview with Deputy Kuttelwascher.

While defending his use of the guillotine motion during the Sunday trading debate – where debate was cut short – Mrs Henderson said Deputy Kuttelwascher ridiculed Deputy Lester Queripel in a 'cruel and unnecessarily personal manner'.

'I believe his very public derision brings him no credit and brings the States of Guernsey into disrepute,' she said.
