As part of the radical La Vallette community project, a team of volunteers have started to restore a historic path along the cliff face.

Legacy Team chairman Pat Johnson said in order to carry out the latest work, a digger had to be lifted by crane onto the top of the wall.

Guernsey Harbours stepped in at the last minute to crane the digger, which was hired out free of charge from Mooney Plant.
