Town seafront ideas raised at consultation
ISLANDERS discussed ideas for future arrangements for the Town seafront last night in the first of a series of public consultations.
More than 50 people are registered to attend, including 19 members of the public who responded to advertisements published in the Guernsey Press and on social media.
Also invited are the representatives of various different organisations and local interest groups, ranging from the retail and hospitality sectors to marine trades and motoring organisations.
They include the Chamber of Commerce, local campaign group Enough is Enough, St Peter Port Constables, the Guernsey Motor Trade Association, pedestrian safety group Living Streets, the Town Centre Partnership, and the Guernsey Boat Owners Association.
Chief Minister Jonathan Le Tocq said it was a good event because people with different opinions were able to have discussions and some suggestions led those they were speaking to say they 'hadn't thought of that'.
