Vaughan Davies suffered a stroke recently and is in hospital.

'Music has always been my big love and I will miss being there so much,' he said.

'There is so much interest in record collecting now and it just seems to grow by the year.

'It was particularly good last year to see youngsters walking out with bundles of albums and today there's a new generation with interest.

'When you buy a new vinyl album now you get the download included and cover artwork is getting better too – and we are not talking about disposable music.'

The event will again be raising money for Guernsey Motor Neurone LBG and there will be live music sets throughout the day organised by the Vale Earth Fair Collective.

The fair takes place at Blanchelande College on Sunday between 10am and 4pm. Admission is £3 before 11am and £2 after and children get in free.

Donations of vinyl and CDs would be welcome. People can contact Rob Roussel on 07781 107698.
