Youngsters get to grill by-election candidates

YOUTH hustings could become a feature of next spring's general election, after a successful session last night.

The three candidates in the St Peter Port North by-election were grilled by young people at Les Cotils at the first-ever youth hustings.

Around a dozen islanders aged between 14 and 18 took part.

Former Treasury and Resources Minister Charles Parkinson was joined on the panel by retired businessman Michael Henderson and Immuno Biotech chief executive David Noakes.
