A ventilation cowl on the forward deck has now been repaired, but the service faces disruption because of the delays this caused.

She will now call in at Guernsey first before heading on to Jersey.

'As a result of the international regulations relating to crew hours of rest, on arrival in Jersey, the ship will discharge passengers and freight and remain in Jersey until 7.05pm on Friday 8 January when she is scheduled to depart northbound to Guernsey and Portsmouth' said a Condor statement.

Condor Liberation is currently out of service until February half-term after being damaged while berthed in Poole Harbour.

The Rapide is being used to help cover that, but her UK run has already been cancelled tomorrow because of the weather – when that announcement was made yesterday passengers were offered travel on the Clipper.
