Mothers welcome support plan
INTRODUCING a dedicated breastfeeding midwife would help increase the support available to new mothers, one woman has suggested.

Louise Gallienne, 32, who has an eight-month-old daughter, Grace, was speaking after Health and Social Services released its Guernsey and Alderney Breastfeeding Strategy 2016-2020, which will be debated in March.
HSSD's aims are to increase the number of mothers who breastfeed and the places and businesses that actively support it. It also wants to introduce a health visitor dedicated to the strategy.
