The news was announced at the company's AGM, which was followed by a public meeting at the Island Hall.

Managing director Paul Garlick said the meetings had gone well, with some good suggestions made.

'The highlight of the day for me and the other directors were the numerous compliments we received about the company and in particular our staff – dedicated, professional and friendly were just a few of the comments,' he said.

'While the new board members cannot take credit for last year's performance, we are proud and pleased that the staff's efforts are recognised by our lifeline service customers.

'It makes us even more determined to maintain our performance.'

A trading profit of £79,663 was made in the year, running up until 30 September 2015.
