Late goal costs Anna £250k jackpot in Sky competition

A LAST-GASP goal from England international Jermain Defoe has cost islander Anna Moullin a £250,000 jackpot.

She had correctly guessed five football scores in Sky Sports' Soccer Saturday Super 6 competition last weekend, then Defoe's 89th- minute equaliser for Sunderland, in their 2-2 draw with Liverpool, meant she had only got five correct, robbing her of the big prize.

The results still meant she had won £5,000, which Soccer Saturday presenter Jeff Stelling, with a bit of cajoling from panellists Matt Le Tissier, Paul Merson, Charlie Nicholas and Phil Thompson, bumped up to £6,000 by taking £1,000 from his suit pocket while announcing the result live on air.
