'Warring' HSSD board is left to sort itself out

HEALTH and Social Services board members are 'at war' and a panel set up to help control deputies' behaviour has refused to step in to resolve the situation.

In an email exchange, Sandra James accused fellow board member Mike Hadley of being unpleasant, untrustworthy, deceitful, treacherous and misrepresenting conversations, particularly with HSSD staff members, of having no understanding of confidentiality, and being a selfish snake of the worst kind.

Deputy Hadley branded the independent code of conduct panel a 'waste of time' after his complaint about Deputy James was dismissed.

Deputy James declined to comment, other than to say that the complaint against her had been dismissed.

In a letter panel chairman Chris Day said superficially some of her comments were disrespectful and discourteous.
