Big public support for Joey at Oatlands plan

ISLANDERS have thrown their support behind the idea of Joey being housed at Oatlands, according to Julyan Gardener-Wheeler, who is helping to drive the idea forward.

While there are still planning applications to be determined, it is hoped Joey could be in place by summer 2017 if everything goes smoothly.

The Trislander would have its own barn and form part of a redevelopment of the St Sampson's attraction.

Mr Gardener-Wheeler, who is part of the management team for FB Ltd, said there had been a massive response.

'We've had great support from islanders,' he said.
