The Ivy Garden – created by The Ivy Trust – is at the Princess Elizabeth Hospital and is intended for bereaved parents to have a dedicated place to reflect and remember their children.
The garden is adjacent to the car park opposite the Guernsey Chest and Heart Association.
There are two benches, plants, a grass area, large tree, pagoda and arch.
Founding trustee Jayne White said there were two areas it was offered, but as soon as it saw the land it knew it was the right one.
Although primarily a garden of remembrance, it hopes the garden will also be used by anyone seeking a quiet and reflective place within the hospital grounds.
