Sailing boat Invictus unveiled at Le Murier

A specialist sailing boat will help young people with reduced mobility get out on the water this summer.

The Invictus was unveiled at le Murier School after being taken for a test sail by the British Sonar Paralympic sailing team.

The Guernsey Sailing Trust organised the purchase of the adapted RS Venture keel boat, one of only six of its type in the world. Guernsey Harbours has paid for a new hoist to help get young people into the boat, while Guernsey Wooden Spoon raised the £13,000 for the vessel.
