Adrian Galliers admitted 10 counts of fraud by abusing his position as a trustee - a course of offending that took place over four and a half years.

The court heard how Galliers, a director and sole signatory to a number of RATS (Retirement Annuity Trust Schemes) while working for Guernsey Financial Consultants Ltd, fraudulently transferred a total of £157,150 from the funds - £136,550 of which to his own account while the rest was taken from one fund to help pay off some of what he owed to another.

Judge Russell Finch said an aggravating factor was the trust his client's had given him, regarding him as a friend.
