The event aims to raise money for disabled and disadvantaged children in Guernsey.

Past events and auctions have raised tens of thousands of pounds for good causes. Recently, money was used to supply Le Murier School with a new minibus.

Herm CEO Jonathan Watson is committee chairman for the event and is working with a team of islanders to put it all together.

A lot of work goes on behind the scenes. Committee meetings began in September last year and have become more frequent as the event date approaches.

There is a lot of local support for the weekend. Sponsors include JT – for the sixth year running – Aurigny, Red Carnation Hotels, St Pierre Park Hotel and Providence.

Confirmed celebrities for this year are TV personalities Chris Tarrant and Lorraine Chase, Eastenders actor Steve McFadden, former England cricketer Andy Caddick, Spurs footballers Ossie Ardilles and Paul Miller, Game of Thrones actor Struan Roger and author Felix Francis.
