Superyacht Le Grand Bleu took on 100 to 300 tonnes of fuel during the stay.

The vessel was previously owned by Russian businessman and Chelsea Football Club owner Roman Abramovich.

However, in June 2006, Mr Abramovich gave the vessel to her current owner, Eugene Shvidler, his friend and business partner.

Le Grand Bleu is one of the world's largest yachts and measures more than 370ft – bigger than a football pitch – in length.

A Guernsey Harbours spokesman said before arriving here, the yacht had spent time in Southampton.

She arrived at around 9.30am on Monday and left, heading south, yesterday morning.

The vessel also has local links following a recent refit in Germany.

Local company Quantum-Med Marine Ltd supplied the vessel with a fin stabiliser system.

This helps stabilise the boat while it is cruising and at anchor.
