Poor weather compounds airport's flight disruption

Inter-island travel woes were added to by poor weather yesterday as it further disrupted flights to and from Guernsey to Jersey.

And inter-island air travel was not the only service to be affected by the fog, as flights to Southampton and Gatwick were also disrupted in the morning.

With six of its flights already cancelled, passengers on planned morning departures to Jersey on Flybe routes operated by Blue Islands, were taken by coach to the harbour to travel on the ferry, while those on the 9.15am Southampton flight to Guernsey were also put on the ferry.
