Constable calls for action on abandoned vehicles

ABANDONED vehicles at the car park next to Vale Church have been labelled 'a nightmare' by parish officials, who say it is not an easily resolvable situation.

Six vehicles have been left abandoned there for a few months.

And parish constable Bill Cohu said the issue was now probably the biggest complaint it gets.

Outgoing Vale Commons Council president George Domaille said this was an issue it had been talking about since 2009.

Some cars had been there for so long that they now have grass growing through them. Damage including broken wing mirrors can be seen on others.

With the ownership of the land untraceable, solving the problem was difficult, Mr Cohu said.

'It is a huge issue.'
