The race begins at the harbour, follows the path to Rosaire, up the steep steps to the cliff paths, around the path to Belvoir beach and along the east coast road to Shell Beach, cutting left along the grassy path above the common, past the cemetery and back along Fisherman's path back to the starting point.

The route is challenging but with few perils, making it suitable for children and beginners, as well as offering a good race on varied terrain for experienced runners.

This year's winner was Ed Mason, who crossed the line in 16 mins.45secs. Ed and his family have been involved with the run for years and he has won many trophies in the event from a very young age.

Mason was followed by Esmond Brown, who recorded a time of 17.32, and James de Garis in third place in 18.16.

Ed Mason's younger sister, Eliza, was the first under-16 female to finish, in 21.43. The first under-12 girl was Sophie Road in 39.10.

The first male resident was Richard Bailey in 20.12, followed by his father Andrew in 21.09. Mum Lesley was the first female resident in 24.19.

The entire Bailey family have been organisers, participants and winners in the event for many years and Lesley was very proud to be able to present Richard with his prize.

The first under-16 boy was Lewis Perfitt in 19.52 and the first under-12 boy was Jonathan Catlow in 24.31.

The first adult female to cross the line was Jonathan's mother Emma Catlow, representing Horsham Joggers, with a time of 22.53.
