Channel Islands Co-operative Society CEO Colin Macleod, pictured, has publicly thanked the planners for their engagement and advice during the planning process for the Co-op's multi-million pound development.

He praised the support given during the pre-application phase for the major development and said he believed other jurisdictions could learn from the approach taken.

Mr Rowles said the Planning Service wholeheartedly welcomed Mr Macleod's comments about Guernsey's planning process, and it was one that helped ensure the island was able to thrive, particularly when it was important to compete with other jurisdictions for investment.
