The arrival of MV Corinthian with 100 passengers on Tuesday 25 October will end the season.

The Amadea was the first cruise liner to arrive, on Friday 1 April.

The busiest day was Sunday 26 June, with two ships bringing 8,000 people to the island – equivalent to some 12% of Guernsey's population.

Guernsey Harbours said: 'To date, Guernsey has welcomed nearly 124,000 cruise liner passengers coming off the liners and onto the island in 2016.

'This number has surpassed the figure from 2015, and we are expecting further visitors to the island from the remaining liners due to visit us before the end of the season.'
