The event, which ends on 11 November, began on 1 October, and has been seeing many of the island's eateries fully booked as people scramble to get value-for-money meals.

Christophe Gaultier, managing director of the Christies Group, said it was brilliant.

'It's always good to give back to the community with our value-for-money menus,' he said.

'It's the time of the year to give back, so we have been very busy which will hopefully continue – it's a great event.'
