Foreign Office refuses to help Groves family

APPEALS to the UK Government to help speed up the Sarah Groves murder case by her family have been rejected as the Foreign and Commonwealth Office has said it will not interfere in legal proceedings.

But the 24-year-old's father, Vic Groves, has vowed to put pressure and elevate the case as the trial has made little or no progress in the past months.

Mr Groves, who said his relationship with the FCO was 'not good', said the family had now begun putting the case within the political and diplomatic arenas.

While it was too early to comment on progress, he refuted claims that the family had asked the FCO to 'interfere' in the case.
