Post to deliver changes

CREATING new parcel collection points, simplifying the returns process and consolidating 'once over the ground' postal deliveries are some of the practical changes Guernsey Post plans to make in the next year.

Chief executive Boley Smillie said other priorities included keeping the service up to date with the growth of the online market and making greater use of its Envoy House headquarters.

Discussing some of the aims the company hoped to meet in the coming months, Mr Smillie said consolidating the delivery network and expanding services such as Ebox would feed in to better overall efficiency.

'Due to advances in technology and the growth of e-commerce in the last few years, we have continued to focus on areas that offer new opportunities,' he said.
