Family photos found in bricked-up alcove

A TREASURE trove of family photos has have been discovered in a bricked-up alcove.

The Union Jack tin was discovered by workers at Bristol House in New Road and one of them posted up some of the pictures on Facebook in a bid to find the owner.

Retired banker Geoff Lovell, 61, spotted pictures of himself as a young boy among the photographs.

'It was a very nice surprise,' he said.

'They were in an alcove under the stairs and it must just have been blocked up after my grandmother moved.'
