Becky Charlton, 26, is making the crossing with three UK teammates – Sarah Hornby, Kate Hallam and Charlie Best – as part of the Atlantic Endeavour team.

They are taking part in the 3,000-mile Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge, which began in the Canary Islands and ends in Antigua.

To date, they have rowed a total of 1,921 nautical miles and are roughly 360 nautical miles from the finish line.

A recent blog post written by a friend of the rowers, Barney Pollock, said the weather had worsened significantly during the final stretch.
