MORE than 100 island businesses have signed up to be profiled in the Guernsey Press book In Business.

The book is a coffee-table compendium containing every island business operating in 2016-2017 featuring profiles of a diverse range of island companies.

'We are delighted with the uptake,' said Guernsey Press managing director Mark Lewis.

'Local businesses have really understood the power of capturing their enterprise for posterity in the book, which is certain to be enjoyed for years to come. There has been a real breadth of local businesses signing up to be part of In Business and we are all excited about the finished product.'

Mr Lewis said that the Guernsey Press's most recent book, 100 Years of the Muratti, was a real success with the island's sporting community and he hoped that In Business will be as fondly received by the island's entrepreneurs and business people.

'We believe that In Business will provide a unique snapshot of local businesses operating today.

'In years to come, people will be able to look back and see how those companies were a real part of the fabric of Guernsey's business community.'
