EMERGENCY services faced an 'unprecedented' number of calls last night as the island experienced the wettest February day in 35 years.
STORM winds and waves ravaged the island’s east coast last night, causing extensive damage.
Trees were ripped down, properties flooded and sections of the road and sea wall on the front were torn up by waves of up to 30ft. Around 300 homes were left without power in what has been described as one of the worst storms in years. Here are some of our pictures.
