PARENTS of 13 primary beginners have been forced to send children to schools they did not choose after an oversubscription in some catchments.

Education has concluded its school admissions process for September 2015, with nearly 600 letters being sent out to parents confirming reception places for the next academic year.

Both Notre Dame and Castel has been oversubscribed.

St Mary & St Michael was left with spare places and therefore three pupils who had chosen Notre Dame would be moved there, Education said.

A total of 10 children who live within the Castel catchment and applied by the deadline have had to be allocated to alternative schools.
