THE Guernsey Branch of British Showjumping have announced their junior and senior teams for the annual inter-insular at the Liberation Day Horse Show in Jersey.

A large Sarnian contingent travel to Jersey tomorrow to take part in the show being held at the recently redeveloped Jersey Showground.

The show takes place over five days, starting on Saturday, and will see the first use of the newly-installed all-weather surface as well as the traditional grass arena.

The event marks the first leg of a two-stage competition between the islands with the final phase taking place at Guernsey's five-day Horse of the Year Show in August at the Chemin Le Roi Showground.

The Guernsey riders will be hoping to continue their winning streak from last August's competition where they picked up both junior and senior trophies.
